Tomikichirō was a versatile artist who made accurately drawn landscape prints for the souvenir market and more creative prints for his own pleasure. His woodblock prints of flowers and (or) birds fall mostly into the creative category. Shapes were partly distorted and colors altered to present familiar species in ways not seen before in Japanese art. Ten examples are included in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
